REAL RESULTS

Experience a new kind of 12-step recovery that is 2000 years old. C.O.O.L. Ministries,® Inc. puts the 12-steps back where they came from- The Holy Bible. Learn to apply God’s Word to your life and experience victory over addictions, codependency, depression, and stress.

A C.O.O.L. Christ-Centered 12-Step Recovery Meeting is a Bible-based meeting designed to help individuals recovering from drug addiction, alcoholism and co-dependency issues overcome their addictions and discover who they are in Jesus Christ. Each of the 12-steps is written to emphasize relationship with and dependence on Jesus Christ and is associated with one or more scriptures that support the step.

Experienced and trained disciples of Christ lead C.O.O.L. Meetings. The leaders have overcome addictions or co-dependencies through the healing power of God and have testimonies that make them credible to idividuals recovering from addiction. As meeting participants are discipled, they have the opportunity to become C.O.O.L. leaders. This is one of the goals of the program.

A typical C.O.O.L. Meeting lasts 1 to 1 1/2 hours and follows this format:

  • Opening Prayer
  • Read the C.O.O.L. Signature and associated scriptures
  • Read the C.O.O.L. Give Up, Clean Up, Make Up, Keep Up. (optional)
  • Introduce the meeting topic (a particular step or life issue)
  • Read scriptures and devotional related to the topic
  • Meeting participants share about how the subject relates to their life.
  • Closing prayer – including call for first time salvations and rededications
