Pastors Roger and Rose Mary Alwell are the Children’s Pastors for COOL Ministries, Inc. They were called to COOL in 2011, and through much prayer they got the go ahead from God to help COOL Ministries, Inc., develop its children’s ministry known as Super COOL Church. They have been married 37 years, saved for 35 years and in ministry for 32 years.They served as volunteers at their former church, Full Gospel Fellowship for 30 years.They oversaw the entirety of the Childrens’ Department which included nursery through 12 years and Jr.High. During that time they eventually became full time employees serving as Director and Administrators of the church’s day care center.
It’s because of Reverend Willie George of Tulsa Oklahoma, better known to some as Gospel Bill that they answered the call to work with children. First God spoke to Rose Mary and then confirmed the calling to Roger. They believe “God calls only those who have a heart and a deep love to minister to children as they are the apple of God’s eye. They believe they have the best team of ministers, handpicked by the Lord himself at Super Cool Church. "When you touch the heart of a child, you touch the very heart of God. He’d never throw sheep to the wolves”. They have ministered to thousands of children in churches, conferences, Vacation Bible Schools, camps and have had training sessions across Texas. In California, they worked and were trained by Dwight Thompson’s Operation Stitches street ministry.
They have led and designed many VBS programs with many hundreds in attendance and scores giving their hearts to Christ and being baptized in the Holy Ghost. Pastor Roger had the honor and privilege to minister to thousands of children in Nigeria, West Africa. They co-authored a training manual for children’s workers called “An Overview to the Ministry of Children”. “Jesus had a Children’s Ministry (Matthew 19:14-15) and it continues today. If Jesus says kids are important, don’t you think we should”? Pastors Roger and Rose Mary are honored to have been called to Children’s Ministry.
